Democratic senators Al Franken and Kirsten Gillibrand introduced a bill, known as the Student Non-Discrimination Act, to the Senate this week to provide better protection to LGBT students. The House version of the bill was introduced in January.

And as if they had planned it this way, the ‘Give a Damn’ campaign released a new video today specifically focusing on caring about the treatment LGBT students receive in schools.
The video features celebrities Kelly Osbourne, Clay Aiken, and Margaret Cho, as well as several straight educators who give a damn.
